Crespo Parts Ways With Rocker Van Dahl
Former AEROSMITH guitarist JIMMY CRESPO is on the search for a new vocalist after firing rocker CHRIS VAN DAHL from his new band.
Crespo, best known as the guitarist who replaced Joe Perry in Aerosmith from 1979 to 1984, signed the former L.A. Guns singer to front The Jimmy Crespo Project but now the pair has parted ways.
A statement from Crespo reads, "It is important to the band to find a singer with his own identity who can also do justice to the Crespo-era Aerosmith songs."
Crespo's band is still slated to perform with rockers Sin City Sinners in Las Vegas in January (11).
News of Van Dahl's replacement had not been released as WENN went to press
