Man makes wife play Russian roulette

A SYDNEY man subjected his de facto wife to a terrifying Russian roulette-style ordeal after an argument at their western suburbs home, police allege.
Police say the couple had an argument in the garage of their Grevillea Street, Greystanes home about 3am yesterday and during the incident, the man allegedly pulled out a revolver-style handgun and loaded one round.

It’s then alleged that on three separate occasions the man spun the chamber and pulled the trigger while pointing the gun at his partner, however, on each occasion the gun did not fire.

Fearing for her safety, the woman managed to lock herself inside the house and contact police.

Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command attended the scene and arrested the 43-year-old man and allegedly seized a loaded revolver.
The man was arrested and taken to Merrylands Police Station, where he was charged with attempting to discharge loaded arms at a person with intent to murder, possessing an unregistered firearm whilst unlicensed, not keeping a firearm safely whilst unlicensed, and possessing ammunition without holding a licence.

He’s been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court today
