It's no secret that Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton are no longer friends, but now Nicole is explaining in her own words why Paris wasn't invited to her wedding.

Nicole claims the reason Paris wasn't invited because she only wanted to have guests "who care" about her with her on her special day.

Explaining why Paris wasn’t invited, Nicole said: “We only wanted to celebrate with the people who we love and who care about us.”

Apparently Paris wasn't too bummed about missing out on the wedding either. She spent the weekend doing what she does best--partying it up in Vegas. These two grew apart years ago so no one expected to see Paris at the wedding anyway.

That's pretty much the only mention of Paris in the interview she gave to Germany's In magazine, but she did gush about her now husband a lot.

She said, “My dad calls Joel my Prince Charming. And that’s what he is...Joel let me organize my dream wedding."
