March 13, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): It seems that all is not well in Carla Bruni -Nicolas Sarkozy fairytale marriage. Supermodel cum singer Carla Bruni who married French president Nicolas Sarkozy in December 2007, is allegedly having an affair. But its interesting to note that it’s not just Bruni who is having an extra marital affair, French media is bursting with the rumors that even president Sarkozy has found love outside his marriage.
Bruni who has been involved with Louis Bertignac, Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Léos Carax, Charles Berling, Arno Klarsfeld, Vincent Perez[19] and former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius in past is said to be dating French singer Benjamin Biolay, who just won the award for best male singer and best album of the year at the prestigious “Victoires de la musique.” Bruni and Biolay have reportedly been friends for many years.
On the other hand French media is buzzing with the reports that president Sarkozy has found “comfort in the arms” of right-wing politician Chantal Jouanno - a 40-year-old cabinet member in charge of the environment. While the main stream media is abstaining itself from the news fearing the high risk involved , internet news space is flooded with reports of Bruni’s closeness with Biolay and Sarkozy’s intimacy with Jouanno.
